Experience the magic of winter with a night snowshoe hike among the Maddalene peaks. Guided by the stars and an expert mountain guide, you will experience a unique adventure that will end with a moonlight dinner at the Malga di Cloz. An authentic experience, between snow and traditional flavours!
The Maddalene mountain pastures are one of the most popular destinations for snowshoe hikers. An alpine guide will accompany you on a snowshoe hike at night in the fresh snow, along a route that winds its way at altitude above the malghe, then descends through a forest and back along a comfortable forest road.
On this hike, a moonlight dinner awaits you at the Malga di Cloz, ending the evening with the best of local cuisine: ‘tortei di patate’!
Start and return: locality Hofmahd (BZ) m. 1694
Ascent: approx. 300 m
Duration: approx. 3 hours
Meeting point: at the second car park in the locality of Hofmahd (BZ), at 5 p.m.
Dinner: scheduled for approx. 20:00
Price (excursion with dinner): € 50.00 per person including drinks and dessert. Possibility of hiring equipment at an additional cost of € 10.00

Useful details:
- We inform you that our experiences with alpine guide are effected only with a minimum number of participants. In case the tour was not effected, it would be our concern to warn you and the cost of your excursion will be refunded.
- Try to be punctual, at the parking there is no connection, then the guide cannot contact you.
- Wear waterproof trekking shoes and avoid moon boot, they take too much space to clip the snowshoes.
- During the tour you should bring with you something to dring and to eat. During night excursions wear the headtorch.
- We advise you to dress in layers and wear mountain clothing (trekking trousers, t-shirts, pulover, jacket) As you start moving, you will early warm up.
- Both night and day tours end at the parking from where they got started. In some itineraries you will find mountain huts along the path: you need only to tell the guide you want ro return on your own to the starting point, when you decide to stop in one of them to eat.
- For ordinary excursions, lunch and dinners are charged to the participants und must be booked individually.
- The guide could decide to modify the itinerary depending on the participants conditions.
- The excursion will be organised without snow as well. The guide will provide you crampons instead of snow shoes.
- If you pay the guide make sure to bring with you the exact amount of your excursion.
- It is adviseable the participation in a family for children of 10 years and over.
