Not far from Castel Valer stands one of the most impressive castles in the region. Its unusual shape, with a central tower, seems to imitate the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites which surround and even protect it. Elegant of form and imposing in height, it stands on a hill a stone's throw from the small town of Nanno.
Castel Nanno is a trove of fascinating stories and legends. The lovers Melisenda and Ludovico or the witches burned alive are just some of the remarkable events which are part of the tale of this castle that has survived for centuries.
