Castel Nanno

Castel_Nanno__primavera_estate__Massimo_Ripani_rid.jpgNot far from Castel Valer stands one of the most impressive castles in the region. Its unusual shape, with a central tower, seems to imitate the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites which surround and even protect it. Elegant of form and imposing in height, it stands on high ground, making it visible from all parts.
Castel Nanno is a trove of fascinating stories and legends. The lovers Melisenda and Ludovico or the witches burned alive are just some of the remarkable events which are part of the tale of this castle that has survived for centuries.
Visits to the castle are by self-guided tour only.
Tours of Castel Nanno last approximately 45 minutes.
