A unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping!
The apiary of Sfruz, located between woods and meadows, is a small historic wooden structure owned by the Municipality of Sfruz, where hives are preserved and showcased. It was created in the early 1900s thanks to Rino Poli, a forest ranger and great nature enthusiast. Since 2023, the apiary has become a place to discover the life of bees and to understand the biodiversity that surrounds us.
MMape organizes many educational activities in Sfruz with the aim of promoting respect and protection of bees, highlighting their fundamental role in our ecosystem.
In summer, several activities are offered to discover the delicate and fascinating world of bees:
EATABLE HERBS – by MMape Bee Mill Museum & APS L'Alveare
Every Tuesday, from July 8 to August 26 | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Guided by an herbalist, participants take a walk to recognize wild herbs, learn their traditional uses and properties in Trentino culture, and prepare an herbal remedy to take home.

FACE TO FACE WITH THE BEES – by MMape Bee Mill Museum & APS L'Alveare
Every Wednesday, from July 23 to August 20 | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Discover the fascinating and delicate world of bees with a beekeeper: a short walk, a visit to the apiary where you can safely observe the bees through a flight chamber, and a tasting of local honeys.
