Maddalene Refuge has opened recently, following significant renovation works on a farm called Malga Val. It is effectively a mountain refuge with wooden bedrooms and communal services. The cuisine is particularly special. The dishes are exclusively based on local organic produce. Skilfully cooked, these ingredients offer the best of Trentino mountain tradition.
The Refuge is open in summer at lunch time and for evening meals. For groups of over 10 you need to book. The refuge stands at 1925 m and is open until the end of October. From here you can easily reach the foot of the wild peaks of Maddalene and also of Lavazzè, Olmi and Slavazzaie. The refuge is also a fundamental stop-off point for hikers crossing the 133 Bonacossa.
