The Rio Sass is one of the two Val di Non canyons which can be visited thanks to the cantilever walkways and staircases overhanging the gorge.
Together with the guide, you will take a short stroll through the historic centre of Fondo, passing through narrow alleys and secret gates, until you enter a private garden bordering a seemingly peaceful stream: actually, this is the stream that, just a little further on, plunges steeply into the Rio Sass Canyon which it has shaped over thousands of years!
Since the roaring of the water inside the gorge is so powerful that it becomes difficult to listen to the words of the canyon guide, it is in this garden that you will hear some interesting details and highlights about the Rio Sass Canyon!
This 2-hour tour covers a distance of 2,5 km and a total of 1200 steps!
The Rio Sass Canyon is usaully accessible from April to mid-November.
From Monday 15 July to Sunday 1 September, the office is open Monday to Saturday from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 1.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. On Sundays and public holidays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while in the afternoons only when the visit to the canyon start.
