The second stage leaves the classic destinations frequented by hikers in the Maddalene group and ventures into the wild heart of these mountains with a passage by the charming Goldlahn ponds.
While most hikers limit themselves to the forest roads leading to the famous huts of the Maddalene, trail 133 stays at altitude and dominates from above the large pastures of the huts and the villages further down. It crosses wild areas, always staying at altitude without facing demanding climbs.
There are no refreshment points along the route, so you need to stock up on food at Malga Castrin before departure.
