A varied trek with ever-changing panoramas. The ascent is steep and quick while the return is gentle with a stop at the charming Kessel hut.
The loop offers a detour to climb Ometto peak. It is a steep ridge trail with some exposed passages that leads to the summit in just 40 minutes. Those not comfortable with this type of trail can avoid the detour and continue with the loop route.
The huts encountered along the route are very hospitable and have excellent cuisine. It is worth stopping for a good break!
