Classic and safe ski mountaineering outing on a groomed trail leading up to the panoramic summit of Monte Roen.
The route is easy and does not present technical difficulties. The ascent takes place on a groomed road and the descent retraces the ascent path with the only variation of descending a fresh snow gully from the summit to the Malga di Romeno.
The Rifugio Mezzavia and the Malga di Romeno are excellent refreshment stops.
On the ascent, avoid the ski slope and follow the signs leading onto a groomed road specially made 'for ski mountaineers.'
