The Dolomites, including the Brenta group, have been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. A treasure in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, anyone who sets eyes on the dolomite stone pinnacles, towers and rock faces is left awestruck.
The Brenta Dolomites are, for me, as someone who loves mountains, a true paradise. These rocks conceal some of the most enchanting places that I know. Like Lake Tovel, which I’m sure you have already heard of, where the smooth dolomite rock walls are reflected in the crystal clear waters. The Pian della Nana is a plateau on Monte Peller at an altitude of 2,000 m below the Sasso Rosso peak, a quiet and enchanting place which is the setting for a Suoni delle Dolomiti concert every year. I promise you that listening to music here is one of life’s true pleasures.
However, when I don’t have time to go up into the Brenta Dolomites, I can admire them from afar. Because here in Val di Non you can see them from virtually every village, either when taking a gentle stroll or just by looking out of the window.
