In Trentino, the nativity scene has always been an important tradition to be passed on from one generation to the next. From collecting the moss to arranging the figurines, everyone whether young or old can make their own contribution to putting together ever-more original and creative nativity scenes. Just as it is fun to make them, it is a real pleasure to admire the manger scenes which you come across in the villages, lit up to look their very best.
The village of Denno is careful to respect this tradition and this year it is once again hosting a display of more than 200 creations, made from a range of different by materials by people of all ages, whether families, schools, groups or associations. The success of the event grows each year, drawing more and more visitors.
While the exhibition is on, the various associations in the village organise events, workshops, activities, concerts, Christmas markets and tastings of local products to add to the charm of a visit to the village.
