Autumn is the time of authentic traditions and among them, one of my favourite is unquestionably the festival Formai dal Mont! The mountain cheese festival is a must-attend event for every lover of genuine flavors.
Formai dal Mont is a mountain cheese festival organized by Pro Loco Tassullo. This year, it takes place in Rallo, a small village where you can taste products that tell the stories of pastures, mountain huts, and expert hands. And it’s not over yet!
By walking among the various stands, you can also discover cured meats, honey, marmelades, and many other products from our alpine tradition. For those, like me, who love seeing how these treats are made up close, there are many workshops where you can learn the secrets of cheese making, from milking to milk processing.
Children will find plenty of activities designed just for them, such as outdoor games, strolls with mountain hut animals, and even sensory paths to explore the smells and tastes of cheese making.
Last year, I brought home a bucket full of fresh cheeses. Will you taste them too this time?
Formai dal Mont will take place on October 19th and 20th in Rallo, just a few steps from Castel Valer!
