Casa Marta is located in the centre of the village, just a short distance from the church square.
It takes its name from a woman named Marta Pezzini, who lived here in the past after the Coredo family. She married a man from the Rizzardi family, who already lived in the house. Marta must have been an important figure, as she not only gave the house its name but also passed on one of the family’s many nicknames (the Rizzardi family came to be known as “Marta”).
Today the building is owned by the Municipality of Coredo which, after extensive restoration work, has opened it to the public and promotes exhibitions and events. The facade is enhanced by a charming loggia with wooden columns, featuring a small stone-framed doorway with a rounded arch resting on a lintel.
