Exhibition "Lascia che tutto accada"

The GSH Social Cooperative, in collaboration with the Mart in Rovereto, presents Lascia che tutto ti accada, an exhibition dedicated to the theme of disability through the lens of art. Painting, sculpture and photography intertwine to explore limits, fragility, strength and the path of those who face often invisible obstacles every day.
Curated by Giosuè Ceresato, the exhibition will be hosted in the historical halls of Palazzo Assessorile in Cles in the spring of 2026. It creates a dialogue between works by contemporary artists and pieces from the Mart collections, paying tribute to those who have transformed their condition into a creative, profound and free narrative.
The inauguration will take place on Saturday, 7 March 2026, at 6:00 PM in the halls of Palazzo Assessorile in Cles.

The theme: embracing life in its entirety
The title of the exhibition recalls a verse by Rainer Maria Rilke, an invitation to accept the unpredictability of life in all its forms: the light of joyful moments and the shadow of pain. Not as resignation, but as an awareness that we cannot control what happens—only how we choose to move through it.

In 2026, the year of the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympic Games, this theme takes on a particular resonance. While athletes compete to surpass limits and break records, in Cles the focus shifts to those who start with a disadvantage and still find ways to move forward, resist, and express themselves.

Paths and themes
The exhibition avoids rhetoric and sentimentality, presenting disability through authentic perspectives:
- respect for one’s limits
- the effort of training, physical or inner
- the joy of achievement
- the tension between perfection and fragility
- the perception of immobility, blindness, misunderstanding
- the hero’s hubris
- the inner journey as a search for peace
- the importance of being heard

Themes that unfold in visual form across the halls of Palazzo Assessorile, inviting visitors to enter into an intimate dialogue with the artworks.

The artists
The exhibition features works by: Andrea Bianco, Matteo Boato, Livio Conta, Giorgio Conta, Mauro Larcher, Tomaso Marcolla, Marcello Nebl, Mauro Pancheri, Federico Seppi, Pietro Weber, Ivan Zanoni.

A special focus is dedicated to two internationally renowned artists who faced disability during their life and artistic journey:
Hans Hartung (1904–1989), a key figure in European gestural abstraction who continued to reinvent his pictorial gesture after the loss of a leg;
Chuck Close (1940–2021), master of contemporary portraiture, who developed new techniques even after the paralysis that marked his later years.

A humanity revealed
Lascia che tutto ti accada gathers stories of quiet resilience, transformed failures, small achievements and genuine smiles.
An exhibition that invites us to look at others without filters, allowing what is often unseen to emerge: humanity in its many forms.
