One of the oldest districts of Fondo is called “Giò a l’Aca”, which literally means “down where there is water”. In this point of the village, in fact, flows the stream that descends from Lake Emerald and crosses the famous ravine of Fondo with its beautiful promenade.
It is no coincidence that a series of mills were built near the stream. The Mulino Bertagnolli is the best preserved over time and in summer it is open to the public.
Mulino Bertagnolli will be open from Wednesday, May 27 until the end of June, from Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday also from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will also be open on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2. Admission is by voluntary donation.
