Parking spaces at Lake Tovel in summer

Also in summer 2025, parking at Lake Tovel can not be reserved: here is everything you need to know about the parking management at Lake Tovel.

Lake Tovel is one of the most impressive and renowned places in Trentino. It regularly attracts numerous people to admire the beauty of its landscape, take a walk around the lake, and spend the day on its white Caribbean-like beaches.

The road to Lake Tovel is open from Saturday, June 14 to Monday, June 30 only on Saturdays and Sundays. From July 1 to August 31, the road is open every day. From September 1 to September 14, access is available on weekends only. From September 15, the road will be closed continuously.

We explain how to purchase the parking ticket and how to access Val di Tovel.

The main things to know are three:

  • parking cannot be reserved or purchased online
  • tickets must be purchased at the entrance to the road to Val di Tovel, in Tuenno
  • rates are the same for all car parks and are not based on the distance from the lake

Purchase of the parking ticket

As mentioned, you cannot book your parking space online.

Tickets must be purchased on the day of your visit at the ticket office in Tuenno, located at the intersection of SP14 and Via Tovel, near the historic building "La Segia".
Click here to find the ticket office.

The staff will assign you an available parking space along the Val di Tovel and issue your parking ticket.

Only vehicles with a valid parking ticket will be allowed to proceed towards the lake.

The ticket office is open from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. You can get the ticket during the opening hours of the ticket office. After 5 p.m. parking is free of charge.

Rates are the same for all car parks and do not depend on the distance from the lake. They vary depending on:

  • vehicle type
  • period (low, medium and high season)
  • entrance time (the rate is reduced for those who enter after 3 p.m.)

> You can find all the details here/Comune Ville d'Anaunia
