How to buy parking tickets and access the Val di Tovel
There are three main things to know:
- You can reserve and purchase parking online for your vehicle. It is strongly recommended to book in advance, especially on weekends and during summer months.
- It is recommended to purchase tickets online by 6:00 AM on the same day. Tickets can still be purchased on site from staff using handheld devices, subject to availability and with a €2.00 surcharge.
- Prices vary depending on how close the parking area is to the lake.
Attention: parking is free for fully electric vehicles and disabled badge holders (to receive a discount code, email mobility@pnab.it). It is also free with ParcoKey, for mountain guides and alpine assistants (AMM) while working, and for residents of owner municipalities only with a permit issued by the Municipality of Ville d’Anaunia.
Staff will be present from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM when the shuttle service is active, and from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM when mobility services are not active.
Only vehicles with a valid parking ticket are allowed to proceed toward the lake. Access to the valley is controlled at La Segia (km 0.9 of SP14).
Parking areas are filled in order of proximity to the lake: Lago first, then Lavacel, Glare, Tamburello, and Capriolo. Once all parking areas are full, traffic is redirected to the Ex Cofco parking area in Tuenno along SP73, where a paid shuttle service operates to the lake.
Attention! During the shuttle service period, the road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM starting from Lavacel. During this time window, it is not possible to continue by car, even with a reservation, except for special authorizations.
Tour buses can still reach the Lago parking area even during closure times.
For campers: the dedicated parking area is “Lavacel”, with daily or multi-day reservations available.
