The mountains are irresistible in the winter. If your destination is a Alpine dairy or a traditional Trentino mountain hut it is even more exciting to organise a day out on the white stuff, whether snowshoeing or skiing.
In winter, the Val di Non’s many malghe and rifugi will welcome you with a roaring fire. Great big pans of canederli (traditional dumplings), stews or polenta are warming on the hearth, ready to be served up if you stop for lunch, at any time. The unmissable apple strudel and the healthy buckwheat cake will catch your eye from the counter. But evening is the time to really enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of a dinner in a refuge.
Outside, rows of skis, snowshoes and poles are parked in the snow. Inside, the smiling faces of your friends sitting around a table. Good food, good conversation, drinking toasts to each other’s health, lots of laughs and the excitement of heading back downhill guided by the light of the moon.

Malga di Cloz
It is located along the trekking paths of the Maddalene mountain farms. Open in March, April, and May only on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. It is open on April 25, Easter, Easter Monday, May 1, Pentecost (May 24 and 25), and June 2. It is then open every day from early June until the end of October. Malga di Revò
Another mountain farm along the Maddalene trekking path. Open is open in March and April from Thursday to Sunday. It is open on Easter, Easter Monday, April 25, May 1, Pentecost (May 24 and 25), and June 2. From mid-May it is open every day for lunch and afternoon snacks, until All Saints’ Day. Malga di Lauregno - Laureineralm
This mountain farm is also in the Maddalena range. Open open on Sundays until the end of March. It is then open on Easter and Pentecost (May 24 and 25). In April and May it is open on the indicated public holidays and only on Sundays if the weather is good. From May 31 to October 11 it is open every day. Rifugio Escursionistico Malga di Romeno
