Potato patties are the most popular dish in Val di Non!This dish is perfect for sharing! A generous portion of potato patties in the centre of the table and everyone can team it with what they prefer: local cheese, lucanica sausage, speck, mortandela, salted meat carpaccio and the staple shredded cabbage salad and borlotti beans (better still if served with onions)!
Groppello is the heroic grape variety from Val di Non, the perfect red wine to accompany potato patties!These days, there are only four wineries which produce Groppello and they are all situated in Val di Non. These four families of wine producers make the most of Groppello: the acidity matured with age and the rounded blend of spices enhanced in small wooden barrels.
Kitchen open at 4:30 pmFrom 13th January until 28th February 2023, the restaurants listed at the foot of this page will be serving potato patties from as early as 5:30 pm solely for the Tortèl&Gropèl menu. This way, after an afternoon of sports or out in the open air, you can have an early dinner and end your day to perfection!
It always gets dark early in winter, and hunger pangs tend to kick in earlier!
The menuAll the restaurants listed below serve potato patties with cheese, cold cuts, shredded cabbage salad and borlotti beans.
Each restaurant then adds its house speciality: some serve ribs, others serve sauerkraut, others still home-made jam and even cake.
The Tortèl&Gropèl menu costs € 25 and it includes a glass of Groppello, water, coffee and service charge.

Potato patties at the winery masterclass
The perfect way to learn how to make famous restaurant-worthy potato patties at home! The masterclass is held in partnership with chef Paolo at these 3 Groppello wineries:

- Cantina Laste Rosse on Saturday, 18th February 2023
The masterclass is held at 4:30 pm and costs € 18 per person, also including a welcome drink, a taste of Groppello wine and a snack with our potato patties and home-made cold cuts.
